About This Role
We are seeking a skilled Inventory Data Management Specialist to provide comprehensive inventory data support to multiple client companies. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who excel at working with numbers, data systems, and multi-client environments.
This is a fully remote, computer-based position focused on data management—there is no physical inventory handling. You'll work with different inventory management systems, spreadsheets, and client data environments to ensure accurate records, analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze inventory data for multiple client businesses simultaneously
- Work proficiently across different inventory management systems, POS platforms, and Excel-based workflows
- Validate, clean, and reconcile inventory data to ensure accuracy across client systems
- Prepare client-specific inventory reports including stock levels, movement analysis, valuation reports, and variance documentation
- Adapt quickly to new client systems, data structures, and reporting format requirements
- Maintain strict data accuracy standards, confidentiality protocols, and comprehensive documentation
- Communicate findings, clarifications, and reports clearly with clients and internal team members
- Identify data discrepancies and flag issues proactively to clients and management
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Skills (Essential)
- Excellent numerical and analytical abilities - comfort working with large datasets and identifying patterns
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency - pivot tables, advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS), data cleaning techniques, basic dashboard creation
- Multi-system adaptability - strong ability to learn and work across multiple inventory/retail systems quickly
- Excellent English communication - both written and spoken for client communication and reporting
- High attention to detail - zero-tolerance mindset for data errors with strong validation skills
- Strong organizational skills - ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory data support, data analysis, or related roles
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple clients or multiple systems simultaneously
- Remote working experience with strong self-management, time management, and accountability
- Track record of delivering accurate work with tight deadlines
Technical Exposure (Any/Most of the Following)
- Retail inventory management systems (any platform)
- POS-integrated inventory software
- ERP systems with inventory modules (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
- Spreadsheet-driven inventory tracking (Excel/Google Sheets)
- E-commerce platform inventory backends
- Ability to quickly understand new systems with minimal training
Work Arrangement
- Location: Fully Remote (Work from Home) - India based
- Schedule: Structured work hours with fixed deliverable schedules
- Time Zone Flexibility: May support clients across different time zones
- Equipment: Reliable computer and stable internet connection required
- Communication: Regular team check-ins and client status updates
